To use the steering wheel controls for voice recognition in a Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicle equipped with MBUX or similar systems, follow these steps:

1. Locate the Voice Command Button:

4. Confirm Command:

  • If the system doesn’t recognize the command or asks for clarification, repeat or rephrase your request.

5. Deactivate the Voice Command:

  • Once your command is executed, the voice recognition system will automatically return to its idle state. You can also press the voice command button again if you wish to end the session manually.

Additional Tips:

  • Hands-free operation: Using the steering wheel to activate voice commands enhances convenience and allows you to keep your hands on the wheel, contributing to safer driving.
  • MBUX features: With MBUX, voice recognition is even more advanced, as it understands natural language commands. It can respond to more conversational requests like "I’m cold" or "Set the mood to cozy" for the climate control.
